TVXQ finished their Japanese tour on Monday. The tour began in January that cover 9 cities including Yokohama,Nagoya and Fukuoka.
They wrapped up the tour in as many days at the 45,000-capacity Kyosera Dome in Osaka.
This tour was TVXQ's first solo concert in Japan since 2010, when the pop quintet downsized to a two-man band after the other members left to form JYJ. The duo's agency, SM Entertainment, said, "The 26-show tour attracted a total of 550,000 concertgoers and brought in around W100 billion in ticket revenues and merchandise sales (US$1=W1,140)."
Thousands of fans packed the area near the stadium for hours before the concerts began, and many stood and cheered throughout the three-hour-long shows. No other Korean group has attracted an audience of this size on a Japanese tour.
However, just before the finale of the “TVXQ Live Tour 2012 ~TONE~” concert at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, TVXQ revealed, “We are preparing for our comeback, which is targeted for the later part of this year.”
They continued, “It seems like we have kept the Korean fans waiting as our activities were centered in Japan for the first half of this year. We will work hard to get closer to the fans in Korea with brand new images. The exact promotional period has not been decided upon, but we want to produce good results at an appropriate time. We would also like to have concerts if possible.”
